Luxury Bathroom Remodeling in Princeton, NJ

Princeton homes fall into two very different groups, and we design for both. Near downtown and the university, bathrooms are often small and dated, in houses whose original trim and moldings the owners want to keep everywhere else.

There, ComfortGarant modernizes the bathroom (curbless shower, heated floor, updated plumbing) while matching period details so the new room belongs in the house. In newer, architect-designed homes outside the historic core, primary suites call for full custom design: natural stone, frameless glass and designer fixtures built around one specific plan.

What we plan for in Princeton homes

  • ✓Older homes: modern bathrooms that keep period trim, door styles and proportions
  • ✓Historic districts: we check what's affected and plan the work so it fits the house
  • ✓Older plumbing and walls: updated supply and drain lines inside existing structures
  • ✓Architect-designed homes: custom layouts and finishes, not production floor plans

Luxury Bathroom Services in Princeton

Luxury Bathroom Remodeling

A full design-build project: layout, waterproofing, tile, stone, glass, vanity, lighting and fixtures planned as one room, not a set of separate upgrades. One team manages the trades from demolition to final walkthrough. In Princeton, that can mean a period-matched renovation or a fully custom suite in a newer home.

Full Bathroom Renovation

We take the bathroom down to the studs and subfloor, correct framing and plumbing as needed, and rebuild on a fully waterproofed assembly. Every shower is flood-tested before tile goes on. In older Princeton houses we work within the existing walls and plumbing, upgrading what's behind them.

Custom Bathroom Design

We measure the room, discuss how you actually use it, and plan the layout, finishes and lighting before any demolition. You get a detailed written proposal, so the scope is settled up front. We match period trim and proportions in older homes, or follow the architect's design language in newer ones.

Custom Vanities

Vanities built or sourced to fit the room exactly, with stone or quartz tops, undermount sinks and storage planned around what you keep on the counter. All plumbing connections are made to code. Period-style furniture vanities or clean contemporary millwork, depending on the house.

Large-Format Tile

Large-format porcelain and stone-look slabs mean fewer grout lines and a calmer, more expensive-looking room. Large tiles need a flat substrate, so we prepare and level the walls and floors before setting. In smaller older bathrooms, large tiles can make the room feel bigger.

Natural Stone

Marble, quartzite and other natural stone for floors, walls, shower benches and vanity tops. We help you choose stone that suits the room's light and how much care you want to give it. Classic marbles for traditional homes; quartzite and honed finishes for contemporary ones.

Heated Floors

Electric radiant heating under the tile floor, on its own thermostat. It is installed with the floor assembly, so it's best planned during a full remodel. Especially welcome in older homes with cooler floors.

Curbless Walk-In Showers

A zero-threshold shower with the floor sloped to a linear drain, so the bathroom floor runs straight into the shower. It's easier to clean and easier to use as you get older, and it depends on careful waterproofing and floor framing. Possible in many older bathrooms with the right floor framing, which we assess on-site.

Frameless Glass

Frameless glass panels and doors with minimal hardware, so the tile and stone stay the focus. Glass is measured after tile is set, for an exact fit. Keeps a small bathroom feeling open.

Premium Fixtures

Thermostatic shower valves, rain heads, hand showers, wall-mounted faucets and hardware in a single finish. We size fixtures to your home's water supply and confirm compatibility before ordering. Period-appropriate styles or modern designs, in finishes coordinated across the room.
